Meet Dimitri! Him, his sister, and their mother were found living in a shed. Lucky for them, the land owner brought them to the shelter to be surrendered. They all received the care they needed from the vet and went to a foster home. The lady who fostered them said Dimitri is a shy kitten who needs time to relax in a new environment. Once he starts relaxing his kitten behaviours start to show up- he will climb and jump in and out of the cat tree, and likes to pounce and play with toys. He still startles easily and will hiss at times, this is just his way of saying “I’m scared”. If you are gentle and calm with him you might even get to hear him purr. At this point it is believed a home with older kids is best would be better for him versus one with young children. He needs a home that will be easy to adjust to. He would likely enjoy having another cat around, but we are unsure of how he would react around dogs. He hopes to find a furever home very soon. His adoption fee is $150, this covers Rabies and FVRCPC vaccinations, neuter, flea and worm treatments, and micrchip.
